RSS Feeder

2007, interactive installation,
2 projectors, 1 computer, internet connection

(photo from project F.A.Q. with Daniel Hanzlik at Dresdner Kunstverein)The installation "RSS Feeder" is an interactive environment displaying the real time internet streamed rss information feeds from several world reporter resources. The floating letters react and change their appearance according to the actual sound volume in the room. The piece is in state of permanent change caused by frequent updating of the streamed news.
The news are displayed in fragments rendering impossible to actually read the complete information.
The work "RSS Feeder" represents a reflection on contradictory in an information-based society with its broadly developed technology of mediated answering systems of communication which do not provide us with solutions of the fundamental questions of human beings.
